HONORARY DOCTORATE AWARDED TO PROFESSOR JAIME GIL ALUJA, THE PRESIDENT OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL SCIENCES OF SPAIN

The Senate of the University of Kragujevac passed a decision on November 23^rd, 2022 to award a honorary doctorate to professor Jaime Gil Aluja, the President of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain, for his contribution to the development of the University of Kragujevac and his engagement in establishing future cooperation between the University of Kragujevac and the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain. The awarding ceremony took place on April 20^th, 2023 at the University of Kragujevac, followed by signing an agreement on cooperation between the University of Kragujevac and the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences od Spain.

Professor Jaime Gil Aluja is the doctor of  economic sciences at the University of Barcelona and the professor of  Finance and Economy at this same university. He is among the first scholars who obtained  a degree in this Catalan teaching and research centre. With a teaching career spanning forty-five years, he is currently an Emeritus Professor at this esteemed university.

Professor Jaime Gil Aluja is the academician of 11 academies and has been invested as Doctor Honoris Causa at 31 public universities worldwide. He is a member of a large number of international teaching and research organisations and has participated in editorial and scientific boards of 20 highly prestigious journals and has taken part in 131 scientific and organisation committees at national and international scientific conferences.
