During the session of the University of Kragujevac Council held on July 16, 2024, a decision was made to accept the resignation of Prof. Dr. Nenad Filipović from the position of Rector of the University of Kragujevac.
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Ranković Appointed as Acting Rector of the University of Kragujevac
Prof. Dr. Nenad Filipović had been serving as the Rector of the University of Kragujevac since June 27, 2018, and was subsequently elected as Rector on December 24, 2018.
On July 12, 2024, professor Filipović was appointed as the new Director of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, thus having to prematurely resign from his current position.
For a period of 6 months from the date of appointment, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Ranković, a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac and the current Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs at the University of Kragujevac, has been appointed as the Acting Rector of the University of Kragujevac.
