The project 4SiM aims to develop an innovative simulation environment for socio-technical systems in manufacturing, complemented by a dedicated learning platform. Simulation requirements are based on lean production principles, occupational health and safety, human factors, and integrated management systems. The outcomes will provide educators and trainers with the tools to equip learners, workers, and students with the skills required to thrive in Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 environments.
Kick-off Meeting Marks the Launch of the Erasmus+ Project 4SiM
The Erasmus+ project 4SiM – Scalable Socio-Technical System Simulation in Manufacturing (2025-1-FI01-KA220-HED-000361927) was officially launched on Friday, September 12, 2025, with an online kick-off meeting bringing together all project partners.
Coordinated by the University of Oulu (Finland), the consortium includes the University of Kragujevac (Serbia), Technological University Dublin (Ireland), the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (Greece), and Spindox Lab Ltd. (Italy).
During the kick-off meeting, partners presented the implementation plan and outlined expected results, placing particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration between academia and industry through the development of innovative manufacturing solutions.
By fostering international cooperation, 4SiM represents an important step toward advancing education and practice in manufacturing. The project’s results are expected to contribute significantly to the improvement of higher education quality and industrial innovation across Europe.
