The project Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy: Treatment Implementation through Perioperative Neurophysiology, Simulation and Modelling with AI Integration – DCM-Modeling is funded within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Italian Republic, through the First Executive Programme of Cooperation in Science and Innovation for the period 2025–2027.
DCM-Modeling Project Team Featured in the RTS Programme “AI and Us – Research Partnerships”
Members of the DCM-Modeling project team, Prof. Nenad Filipović, Prof. Vojin Kovačević, Prof. Tijana Geroski, and Anđela Blagojević, participated in the program “AI and Us – Research Partnerships” produced by Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
During the program, the project team presented how advanced computational modelling methods and High-Performance Computing (HPC), combined with clinical, neurophysiological, and anatomical data, are being used to improve the understanding of the mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of degenerative cervical myelopathy.
The research conducted within the project is expected to contribute to improved diagnostics, better preparation and planning of surgical interventions, and the development of personalized treatment approaches for patients. In this way, the project supports improved therapeutic outcomes and advances in the field of digital medicine.
