Erasmus+ AEQUALIS4TCLF Project Presented at the International HUM-STEM Summer School

The management of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak attended the opening ceremony. The participants were addressed by Prof. Miloš Papić, PhD, Vice-Dean for Education at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, and Prof. Dejana Zlatanović, PhD, Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs at the University of Kragujevac, who emphasized the importance of the Faculty’s and the University’s initiative in promoting international academic cooperation, interdisciplinary education, and student mobility as key factors in enhancing the quality of higher education.

The University of Kragujevac is one of the partners in the Erasmus+ Blueprint project AEQUALIS4TCLF, which brings together 19 partner institutions from across Europe. The workshop on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was led by Dr Vesna Petrović, the Main Contact Person for the University of Kragujevac within the AEQUALIS4TCLF project. Through an interactive lecture, group work, and discussions, participants were introduced to the project’s objectives and its role in developing sustainable competencies for the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear (TCLF) industry. They also explored how education, innovation, and international cooperation can contribute to a more sustainable future for the fashion and textile sectors.

The programme was successfully coordinated on behalf of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak by Dr Ivana Krsmanović, Professor, and Dr Lena Tica, Assistant Professor. The Summer School brought together 35 undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students from eight European countries—Serbia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, and the Czech Republic—while the participants represented a total of 15 countries of origin. Lectures and workshops were delivered by academic staff from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, together with international lecturers from Greece, Malta, Poland, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences, explore diverse educational and research perspectives, and develop competencies in an international and interdisciplinary environment.

By presenting the AEQUALIS4TCLF project during the International HUM-STEM Summer School, the University of Kragujevac once again demonstrated its commitment to the internationalization of higher education, the promotion of interdisciplinary learning, and active participation in European projects that foster sustainable development, knowledge exchange, and international cooperation.
