Topic: The Yildiz Technical University is seeking highly motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researchers with a strong interest in developing next-generation Artificial Intelligence technologies for healthcare. The candidate should be passionate about interdisciplinary research and eager to contribute to innovative solutions for precision medicine through the integration of multimodal medical data. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in several of the following areas: Machine Learning and Deep Learning; Computer Vision and Medical Image Analysis; Biomedical Natural Language Processing (BioNLP); Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs); Multimodal Learning and Foundation Models; Explainable and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (XAI); Clinical Decision Support Systems; Knowledge Graphs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG); Federated Learning, Privacy-Preserving AI; and Causal Machine Learning.
Requirements of the candidate:
- The postdoctoral fellows must hold a doctoral degree (no longer than 8 years prior to the call deadline)
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning models
- A solid publication record in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and/or conferences
- The postdoctoral fellow cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Turkey for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the call
